As developers of Service Finders, we wanted to offer support to both the consumer and the trade industries with a new innovative marketing strategy. As most service companies would agree; marketing expenses often seem too costly for the size of the marketing image they receive. We knew that Service Finders must provide a large marketing image for a low cost to those that participated.

It seems that at one time the world was much smaller and less busy, and people knew who to call locally that they could count on to meet their home service needs. Lately with so many companies to choose from, and so many needs for services in diversified trades the decisions have become more difficult.

Service companies who truly believe in keeping their employees trained, and meeting company standards that might exceed their customers' expectations want an advertising strategy that makes them stand out from the crowd. It's just as important for a service company to have a means for consumers to get to know them as it is for someone who runs for public office. Without real company details and appropriate contact information, people have a tough time deciding which company to choose. Service companies go to great lengths and spend large amounts of money to market themselves in a way that provides “Top of Mind Awareness” to their best customers, however what should prove to be a marketing investment, all too quickly becomes large company overhead.

Today consumers might first go to their telephone directory to locate a service company in their area, but this information proves to be very limited and offers little help to answer most consumer questions. Web sites might be a great answer as they can be limitless in their content, and consumers can get to learn a lot more about service providers this way. The problem with the internet is that most service companies have very little resources and/or expertise to develop and maintain an informative and effective website. This can prove to be both expensive and time consuming. Even after developing a website, companies then face the challenge of marketing that site to consumers.

The more we at Service Finders recognized the struggles that service companies experience with their marketing, the more we realized the need for an affordable, simple and targeted means for those contractors to create effective online presence for their business. Our objective was also to provide a marketing source where the company images and information could simply and effectively portray the marketing message that the service providers wanted to get to his existing and future customers in their service area.

The idea of Service Finders began in early 2002 to provide a one stop source for consumers to quickly view and query detailed information about residential service providers in their area. Service Finders has developed into just that and much more. With simple Pay Per Lead or Standard monthly fee plans(for very rural areas), we provide a platform for any size company to market themselves in a big way, and Service Finders is always FREE for consumers to use as often as they like.; Not only do we provide detailed company web homepages with simple tools for our service company members to make updates as they like, but from the Service Finders Discussion Forum consumers can get their service questions answered directly from the professionals in their area. There are many ways for our service company members to show what makes them different from their competition, and to offer options such as printable coupons and other specialized services. Consumers find ServiceFinders.Net to be a simple one source place to get the answers for all of their home service needs. Here consumers can quickly make informed decisions as to which service company to call when problems arise in their home/apartment or business.

Today our staff consists of web development, software development, sales and web-marketing, and Member Support.
