Dealer Qualifications

All dealers listed on Service Finders must agree to meet the following Minimum Dealer Requirements. Dealers must be able to show proof of these requirements (if requested) and must agree to these terms as requested during their Service Finders membership.

1. Designated Business Office:
   Contractors must have a commercial business office which is open to the public (separate of their residence) and is designated for the purpose of their Heating and Air Conditioning Company (may include other service types).
2. NATE Certified:
   At least 25% of all field employees must be NATE (North American Technical Excellence) certified.
3. Company Uniforms:
   All service and installation field employees must wear company uniforms. (Including shirts and trousers)
4. Lettered Vehicles:
   All service and installation trucks must show the company’s name and phone number on left and right sides.
5. Liability Insured:
   Contractors must maintains at least $1,000,000 of liability insurance.
6. Business License:
   Companies must have either a Type A,  B or C business license for HVAC service and installs.
7. Years in Business:
   Contractors must have been in business for at least 5 years.
8. 24 Hour Service:
   Must offer 24 hour service and all after hours calls be regularly returned within ½ hour.
9. Full Time Receptionist:
   Contractors must have a live receptionist/dispatcher to answer phone calls and to schedule appointments (other than a field person) in the office during regular business hours.
