Contractor Qualifications

Service Finders promotes high standards within the HVAC industry. All heating and air conditioning contractors shown on Service Finders must meet or exceed a list of industry requirements. This ensures that consumers will have favorable experiences when having their heating and cooling system serviced or replace.

The contractors shown on Service Finders have met the following industry requirements:

1. Have a designated business office which is open to the public.
2. Contractors must provide installation and service procedure training to their HVAC service and install field employees.
3. All contractors must agree to wear company uniforms.
4. Company service and installation vehicles must be stenciled with the company name and phone number.
5. Contractors are required to maintain at least $1,000,000 of liability insurance.
6. A Type, A, B or C HVAC business license is required.
7. Contractors must be in business for at least 3 years.
8. Must provide 24 hour service.
9. Business offices are required to have a live receptionist and dispatcher available during regular business hours.
